Easter holidays

We are looking at a easter week with our two adult children who we dont see very often.

We would like a warmer place than the UK but will enjoy walking and visiting museums etc. Good food and company. End March/start April.

When they were younger we loved Greece.

We are thinking of a quality AI in one of Crete, Madeira, Portgual or South Spain.

Weve been to Cyprus quite a bit already. A week at disney on the rides would be fun but we wont touch the US at the moment.

Any ideas on location specifically for being able to access a week of walks (not hikes) and musuems etc?

Madeira is great for walking. Yes, it’s got some strenuous hikes, but the Levados are generally a lot easier. Our favourites are Levada dos Balcoes 1.5 km, stunning valley views), Vereda do Fanal (forest) and Levada do Moinho (gentle trail with a waterfall). Stay in Funchal if you don’t want to hire a car.

What about a Spanish or Italian city? Day trips into the countryside? Barcelona in April last year was perfect weather. Sunny, warm ish but not at all hot. Malaga and Granada are also lovely cities.

Thanks they all sound lovely.

The Madeira walks if one stays in Funchal? Are there companies to book with?

Bologna. It has amazing rail links to superb towns. Ravenna for one! Plus the Ferrari museum. Better than hiking!
