A European city for Christmas 2026

Looking for suggestions for a few days over Christmas for a city break.
Thinking about Valencia but would love any insight from anyone who has spent Christmas in Europe.

Copenhagen

Rome was fantastic just before Christmas. Few crowds. Weather mixed but didn’t matter.

Athens.

Weather perfect for sightseeing and no crowds

Prague

Vienna or Budapest

Malaga. The atmosphere around Calle Larios and the surrounding streets is great. Good food, fabulous tapas, easy flight and transfer from airport, and if you're lucky - nice sunshine too.
