Best family friendly hotels in Krabi Thailand?

Any recommendations welcome!
I am slowly planning a milestone birthday holiday for 2027 and as one location we're looking at Krabi.

I'm looking for something family friendly, delicious breakfast included. We can eat dinner at the hotel, but would prefer being able to eat local with an easy walk. DS would be 6, good pools are a must, if there are any water slides or similar it's a mega bonus.

Something a little fancier, as not only is it a milestone birthday for me, it also has a lot of sentiment, emotion and a bit of a trip down memory lane, alongside a homage to my mum who died very unexpectedly.

Still figuring out budget per night and early stages of research, but ideally under £200-£300 a night.

Are you wanting to stay in Krabi town or one of the beach resorts in krabi province? I would look at hotels on Railay and Klong Muang.

Good question, I'm so early in my research that I haven't decided this or looked into it properly yet.
I guess I went around it the other way with 'hotel-first' and then would see if the location made sense.

I grew up is SEA, and have spent a lot of time in Thailand, but haven't been to Krabi yet.
