Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Donegal - campervanning, your tips

Planning to go this summer in my campervan, from ferry to Belfast. I might have (adult) son with me for a few days, but other than that it is just me.
I like hillwalking, will have my bike (road/gravel), I do like a nice cafe, good pub and a nice meal or two in-between cooking for myself. Off the beaten track rather than busy.

So where to go - what are your tips of wonderful villages, walks, bike rides, islands, campsites and adventures in NW Ireland?

Sligo is the least visited of these and in my opinion the most lovely.
Climb Knocknarea, visit Yeats' grave and visit the caves of Kesh. Nice beaches too (mix of swim and surf so be mindful).

I am sure you'll get lots of info on the other more obviously beautiful counties.

What a wonderful trip!

If you haven't come across it already, take at look at The Wild Atlantic Way website, thewildatlanticway.com for ideas and inspiration.

Already done lots of the Irish coast on bike and camper, so well acquainted with the Wild Atlantic Way. Last visit felt that the WAW website was signposting to the honeypots and I am keen to get to quieter places.

For example: highlight of my last trip was Beara, walking the length of Dursey Island, and climbing Carrauntoohill the quiet way, away from the crowds...The only 'big tourism' thing I did was the (wonderful) Skellig Michael landing tour.
