South Korea family trip

In the early stages of planning a family trip to South Korea in Easter holidays 2027, likely for 10 days plus flight times. There's 3 of us - kid will be 10 then.

We've been to Japan twice before we became parents, so love a mega city - thinking of heading to Seoul and Busan. It's been a long time since we did a long haul flight though. Thinking of splitting the flight up with an overnight stay in Doha airport, just for a rest - has anyone done similar?

I was considering a couple of nights in maybe Hong Kong but wondering if it's better with our kid to split the flight times with Doha so they're shorter

I think including a stop exclusively to reduce the length of a flight, just makes the journey even longer.

However! If you must, Hong Kong is about a hundred times as interesting as Doha.

Good point, thanks! Our nearest airport is Manchester so we'd have to change anyways

Family live in Australia, we always stop enroute. I like to make it 2 nights, but if pushed for time we have had a 'stopover' primarily to sleep in a proper bed. Given you have a 10 year old with you, maybe you could stop at Disney in Hong Kong on the way back? It is an option on the way out, but time difference makes a long Disney day challenging, easier when the jetlag is less.
