Anyone been to Casino Monte Carlo?

Hi everyone, taking my first trip to the French Riviera this year and I’m keen to go to the Casino de Monte Carlo.

Anything I need to know? Is there an expectation of spending a certain amount? Do lots of people get dressed up in proper evening wear? I’d like to wear a gown, but don’t want to stick out too much.

There’s a dress code and an entry fee, which can go against a bet. I was only there in the day time and no one was dressed like a James Bond film. The cars outside really were amazing though.

Yes but a long time ago. People were smart but not ball gown dressed up, but sure you could if you wanted. Lots of designer clothes. We didn’t spend too much you could spend as little or as much as you like ( can’t remember entry fee but possible). Is well worth a visit. We needed our passports to get in.

We had a little play on roulette and had a drink at the bar, spent about €50.
I think we were there on a Sunday evening.

It was classier than Vegas, but not evening gown classy.
