Looking for recommendations in Europe to suit parents and children (5 and 3) plus grandparents. Imagining 2 villas or apartments with a pool . Ideally near a beach and an interesting town for site seeing and eating out. We don't need a kids club. Not France, Italy Croatia or Spain. Montenegro has been suggested but I'm not sure about it. Any pointers welcome.

When ruling out those 4 countries, does that also mean all the islands owned by them? It’s quite a fair chunk to cut out. Excluding the scraps of small coastline with Slovenia & Bosnia, it mostly leaves you with Montenegro/Greece/Malta/Portugal if you want a beach

The two places I’m considering for May half term are Corsica and Sicily. Both with beautiful beaches (especially Corsica), lots to see and great food

Cyprus?

You’re going to need Cyprus or Turkey or some where equally as south to be in with a chance of using the pool.

Thanks for replies. I'll take a look at Corsica and Cyprus.

Would Greece not be an obvious choice?
