Centerparcs Sherwood v Whinfell?

We can go to either, but if anyone’s been to high, which do you prefer and why?

Whinfell. The pool, bowling, bar, shop, restaurants etc all under 1 roof. Went to Sherwood once for a change, went back to Whinfell and been back several times since.

Thanks. Is the pool a decent size or is it a lot smaller at Whinfell?

The pool at Whinfell is a good size, plenty for little ones and older kids. I can’t really remember the size of Sherwood, but I didn’t think it was so much better iyswim? TBH it’s one the main attractions when you go with kids isn’t it? We always go on the weekend breaks, usually at Christmas. Always book a cabana for the Friday night 5-8pm and it’s fab and quiet.

Aren't they closing the pool earlier in the eves now?

Oh I’m not sure, usually it’s 8.30pm at Whinfell, we’ve always booked 5-8 in the cabanas. Sometimes the slides close early tho.

What’s the benefit of a cabana?

Much prefer Whinfell but if you are cycling Sherwood is flat, Whinfell is on the edge of the Lake District (not flat!)

whinfell has red squirrels tho

If your kids are little, the pool at Sherwood is better but if they’re older, whinfell wins!
