What booking site for French self catering?

We are wanting to g to go to Brittany in the summer holiday. On the ferry, two weeks in a holiday house/ gite. What booking sites would you recommend?
we’ve only been once before, but went with other family members who used VRBO, the house was lovely so I’ve been looking on that, but am I missing a trick?!

VRBO is my go to for French holiday homes but Booking.com may have options, plus AirBnB

Brittany Ferries have properties, there are also plenty of French sites that you could look at.

We usually go with Vrbo. Gîtes de France are often more erm, ‘rustic’, if that’s a polite term for a 3 piece suite from 1987. The site takes a lot of sifting through but there are bargains to be had.
