What is there to do for teens in the Rockies in the summer?

I know the rockies is beautiful. But is it just lots of driving, looking at nice views and walking? I was wondering if it would be a nice family holiday, but not sure if teens would be bored. They normally enjoy beach/ pool holidays. Don’t mind a bit of walking, but not the entire holiday

Horse riding (whether you’ve done it before or not) white water rafting, guided walks with rangers. Depending when/where you go maybe a fair or rodeo - both v unlike UK versions and good fun!

We stayed near Banff last summer. The scenery in the Rockies is breathtaking. We did a trip to a glacier, rafting, lakes, walking. We loved it.. had our 19 year old DS with us. It is really expensive.. we stayed in Canmore.. 20 minutes drive from Banff… in a 2 bed apartment with a shared pool. £400 a night. A trip of a lifetime 🙂

Canadian Rockies - or USA Rockies? Wildlife watching, sport venues, music shows, culture shows/First Nation culture, museums, glaciers and rafting.

When I was a kid we had a few holidays in Colorado in the summer. Stayed at a ranch style hotel and did things like hikes, horse riding. White water rafting v v popular. There are some lovely towns around so would also explore those. You do need a rental car so be prepared to drive. Wasn’t an issue for us as we lived in us at the time so we’re used to driving on that side of the road.
