DLP trip: Santa Fe hotel or CP Village Nature

Planning a two night stay in April for my son's 5th birthday.

We will drive from UK and plan to arrive Friday afternoon then spend Saturday at DLP and Sunday downtime.

If we stay at Villages Nature Paris we can go swimming etc but the reviews are awful. I just can't imagine how bad it is.

My son is a big cars fan but I note Santa Fe doesn't have a pool. He loves to swim so ideally that would eb the activity for Friday afternoon/Sunday.

If you could choose between the two, which would you chose and why please?

We stayed at CP VN for a midweek break last year. I was worried by the reviews but honestly, it was fine. The cottage was clean and well-equipped, the pool is brilliant and there's plenty to do. Your DS is the perfect age to make the most of free activities like the farm and soft play too.

The restaurants are expensive but not DLP levels.

Haven’t been to CP VN, we went to Sequoia, my kids had no interest in the park on day 2 and just wanted to go to the pol. They were 5 then.

Major factor is the distance from the parks. You have to drive from Villages Nature so will have to park then walk from the car park. Santa Fe has Shuttle Buses and it's also possible to walk.

I think if you are only there 2 nights you won't have time for using the pool either. Too much to see and do in the parks!

We stayed in Santa fee and could walk to/from easily…

I’ve done a few centerparcs abroad however I only did this one for the day. I was glad I did, as I just didn’t enjoy it. They had some tight rules poolside that I’ve not experience before and this resulted in several confrontations between staff and guests

I’d personally stay at the sante fe and gain the benefits of being within walking distance so you can take a break during the day if you want, get the Disney hour and also have the extra day. Going hard at the parks all day is tiring.

Best of both worlds would be Davy Crockett Ranch , it has a nice enough pool but you also get full use of Disney so magic hour etc .

I should add that from what I’ve read recently if you are booking Davy Crockett you should book one of the new cabins .
