Is Zadar recommended for teens?

I'm looking to book a villa in the summer for us and teens with a friend each (18-19). The flights are reasonable for our dates but is there enough for them to do and nightlife that is safe? Thanks

There are decent beaches and plenty of nice places for an evening wander. Not v posh but it all felt safe when we were there 2 years ago with young teens.
