Lombok or langkawi

Hi id like your opinions please. We’ve booked to go to Singapore to visit family. From there we considered going to Lombok in Indonesia but I’ve been reading about potential risk of malaria and dengue (I always get bitten) but I’m very anxious of my 5 month old getting unwell. My Indonesian SIL will be there with us but still concerned what would happen if the baby was poorly. She’s our first and never travelled with a baby before!! The other option would be going to langkawi. The aim is to see family but then have our last week of relaxation somewhere hot all inclusive etc

I prefer Lombok to Langkawi. Kuta in Lombok has nice restaurants, spas etc and there are some lovely beaches in Lombok too. You can also drive up north and take a short speedboat over to the Gilli islands

I haven't been to Lombok, but I loved Langkawi.

Malaria and dengue risk is much higher on Lombok. Langkawi is much more “western”with more immediate amenities IMO. Lovely beaches.

Langkawi for me. Beautiful and easier to get to.
