Hi-any suggestions for easter city break with 12 and 7 Yr old. We have been to Barcelona, Paris, Rome, Brussels as a couple and while we may go there again, ideally we would go somewhere we haven't been. Also done Lisbon and Copenhagen.

Its would be end march/early April so maybe valencia or Madrid? We are all vegetarians so Spain is not usually top of list for visit but for 3/4 days we can manage.

Thanks in advance

Malaga, Seville or Granada for Semana Santa. Prague. Berlin would be good with older kids. I was worried about Berlin for veggies but went there last year with veggie friends and had no trouble at all finding nice food. Even the Brauhaus type places.

For the ages of the children Stockholm or Amsterdam . Berlin possibly depending on what the children would enjoy. I can't comment about whether food would be easily available but in general (having lived in Italy and France for 25 years) vegetarian food is now readily available. It depends what you want to do what the children would enjoy as I'm sure you know. Italy and Spain don't have that much to offer for younger children.

Bruges is nice but nothing there for children..Florence is an overnight stop with kids. Not a holiday.

Naples and Venice absolutely not.

Don't discount Paris unless you as a couple want to go somewhere new. Paris is amazing for kids
You just have to look at it in a different way.

Cologne
Climb the cathedral steps
Chocolate museum (we did it on Easter Sunday, a great end to lenten abstinence of sugar!)
A fabulous zoo with a cable car across the rhine to a park
Phantasialand is easily reachable by tram and bus and we had such a fab time there, a really great theme park
There is also a fun family spa/there but I didn't go
Fab selection of restaurants especially in the Belgian quarter
Beer gardens where kids can play and adults can sit (we found a nice one in the Belgian quarter)
We stayed in the art'otel next to the Chocolate museum, the walk from the city centre along the rhine is short and lovely.
Coldish weather at easter but lovely day, didn't need a coat when we went to Phantasialand

One day we did a day trip to a lovely castle at Königswinter by taking a train in the direction of Bonn.

Train from airport into city centre easy, cheap and quick.
