Manchester airport parking

We are flying from T2 and I usually park in the T2 multi story, just across the road from the terminal.

When trying to book for August I’m not getting that option. The only terminal parking option it is offering when I put in we are going from T2 is T1 multi story which is 10-15 min walk from the terminal.

Does T2 parking not exist any more? Only option seems to be meet and greet but I don’t want that as I hate waiting about for them to bring my car I just want to walk to my car and leave.

Can anyone shed any light?

I’m not sure on the car park but I’ve never waited at Meet and Greet, the cars just there waiting.

EdinaTheConfessor · 20/01/2026 20:03

I think I must have had a bad experience then as last time I used it, the car wasn’t there we waited bloody ages, with 2 exhausted children it was painful.

We used meet and greet in November, landed at 7am after a long haul flight from Orlando. We just picked up the keys from the locker and then it told us where the car was and we went straight there. No waiting at all.

Thanks, but that link is still not giving me the option to book T2 multi story for the dates I want, although it does reference that car park on the page. Maybe it’s sold out for the dates I want but it’s not until August so that seems unlikely.

Or maybe it is only the T1 multi story that is now available. The website is clear as mud

There is a lot of change at Manchester right now, because of the closure of Terminal 1, so that might explain.

We have used the Meet and Greet service more times than I can remember, over many years, and the car has always been ready on arrival.

pinkpony88 · 20/01/2026 22:44

We often use meet and greet at Manchester and have never had to wait.

watchuswreckthemic · 20/01/2026 22:48

I’m a huge fan of the drop and go service, the buses run really regularly

mismomary · 20/01/2026 22:49

Another meet and greet fan here. Excellent service.

Another frequent user of M&G - collect the keys from a locker and get in the car and go.
i had a terrible experience with M&G at Birmingham with a lot of waiting a couple of years ago (in fact the entire airport experience was terrible)

EdinaTheConfessor · 21/01/2026 07:09

Ah maybe it’s changed since I last used it then. I’ll give it a go. Thanks!

Are you booking directly on the Manchester Airport website OP?

DemonsandMosquitoes · 21/01/2026 07:22

It’s to do with the massive changes going on there. No problem with meet and greet and used it tens of times , pick up the keys and go. No one has ever brought our car!

I think I’ll do this. Can’t be doing with lugging cases from T1

I contacted them and they said during summer it’s limited to stays of a week. Very annoying, we’ve had to book drop and go instead

TimeForATerf · 21/01/2026 08:14

We always use Meet & Greet these days after a horrendous multi storey experience where there were zero spaces and cars parked up in non spaces such as yellow hazard areas and blocking exits, we literally had to drive up and down until I saw a man loading his car to leave.

I use Holiday Extras to book as it’s usually a bit cheaper than direct. You can also cancel and reschedule without charge.

BG2015 · 21/01/2026 09:38

We use Drop and Go. It's so easy and the buses run really regularly over to T2. I've just paid £95 for 2 weeks parking at the end of April.

Bjorkdidit · 21/01/2026 09:43

Manchester Airport official meet and greet (and Drop & Go, but I think that's only T1/3) is excellent. You leave your car in a holding area, they park it somewhere and then put it back in the pick up area ready for your return, so you just collect your keys (sometimes from a locker) and get your car - very easy and efficient.

AttilaTheMeerkat · 21/01/2026 09:58

The Manchester airport website I referenced gives details of the many changes made to their airport parking . T2 parking is now called mid stay and it’s also signposted as t1 multi storey whilst they work in the signs!.

BG2015 · 21/01/2026 10:19

I usually book through Holiday Extras

SaffyWall · 21/01/2026 10:22

I've just booked the T2 West car park for a week in February without any problems. I belive this one is the new multistorey that's a 2 minute walk from T2.

SovietSpy · 21/01/2026 13:23

ran into the same issue OP. Did some searching and there are a couple of trip advisor threads that confirm that pre booked parking in the T2 east and west multi stories is impossible unless it’s for just a couple of days. Looks like they are pushing people to the meet and greet, T1 or off airport car parks.

Bjorkdidit · 21/01/2026 13:28

In the past when I've used the multistoreys I've always driven straight up to the roof without bothering to look for spaces on the way up and never had a problem finding a space up there.

But now I mostly use the M&G or D&G because it's easier and cheaper. If you select Holiday Extras through the link in the Moneysaving Expert cheap airport parking page, that's cheapest in my experience.
