Looking for sun, beach, good food, fun for 2 teens and relaxation; taking my DD15 and her friend 14.5

What permission does her friend need?

Why wouldn’t they be in school in early March? Surely they’d both be in GCSE years?

That wasn’t the question; but will give you the answer; they attend a school with different school holidays.

Well my DD (who was 14 at the time) would highly recommend Tenerife due to Siam Park Waterpark. I must admit it was like no other water park I've been to. She would definitely go back just for that.

Amadores beach in Gran Canaria has to be one of the nicest beaches I’ve been to in the Canaries. Plenty to do around there and you can take a ferry round to Puerto Mogan which is lovely.
Playa Blanca in Lanzarote is also nice, it’s a while since I’ve been however so I can’t really remember what sorts of things there are for teens to do but Flamingo beach is quite nice.

Thank you. Sounds like Tenerife will be a good option

Sounds lovely and perfect for DH and me; but may go to Tenerife for the waterpark. The girls will love it

How warm will it be in early March? I’d think I’d choose the warmest island tbh. Siam park is great!

I was a Tenerife goer from young childhood to my mid-teens. I absolutely loved it! I’d go back in a blink.

DemonsandMosquitoes · 19/01/2026 07:28

With teens, Tenerife for Siam.

Lookingforthesunshine · 19/01/2026 08:42

Tenerife it is. Hope it will be warm enough

Thank you

We loved Tenerife & stayed at the Gran Oasis. Lovely big apartments & very near Siam Park

I agree with Tenerife! We went as an extended family and had my teen cousins as well, we all really enjoyed it. Something that we did that really made the experience amazing was to let them chose an experience from all these https://tenerife-adventures.com/en/tour-category/tenerife-for-families/ and we did the stargazing, it was a bit chilly at night but very nice. Another thing that was nice was to do a day trip to La Gomera https://www.ferryhopper.com/en/blog/featured/la-gomera-day-trip-guide
