Hello 👋. Im heading to Knebworth to see iron maiden with my husband in July from Scotland. We are staying in Luton for 4 nights and wondering what else we can do in the area? One thing we are hoping to do is a jack the ripper tour in London, other than that im pretty lost. TIA. Xx

I live in that area. Depending on what interests you (and whether you’ve got a car) I would suggest:
Harry Potter studios tour (near Watford).
St Albans for cathedral and nice pottering (easy on train from Luton)
Harpenden for nice pottering (easy on train from Luton)
Bletchley Park, a bit further away but well worth a trip.
Whipsnade zoo.
Dunstable downs and the tree cathedral.
De Havilland aircraft museum.

I second everything on @QueenOfToast 's list. St Albans Abbey Cathedral is lovely. There is also a roman museum in Verulamen Park, and the olde fighting cocks is one of the oldest pubs in the country. All walkable from the cathedral.

Thank you for replying. We are getting the train down.i really like the sounds of st Albans cathedral, sounds right up my street. Are there any ghost tours? Bletchley park? Isn't that Milton Keynes? Sure we did that last year at bludfest with the wee ones. Was really good but wayyyyy too hot 🔥 🥵 for us down there so worried its going to be a scorcher again 😆 xx

Most good ghost tours tend to be on in the autumn / winter months (Hitchin has a good ghost tour & is only 15 mins from Luton), so may be worth checking if there are any on at that time of year.

You could book a tour of Highgate Cemetary if you like more macabre things.

Ah, understandable i guess. I like the sound of the cemetery so I shall google that too. I am a big fan of creepy things I must admit, 😆 🤣 😂. Glasgow necropolis cemetery is really something and not far from me.
