Spain in June. Just right or too hot?

We need to book our holiday for mid June due to work commitments. We quite like the idea of Spain , near the theme park, but I can’t work out what the weather is like in mid June.

Google ranges from mild temperatures to awful heat waves. MIL has a chronic illness and cannot cope with heat, it makes her very poorly so we need somewhere not too hot. She struggles in a U.K. heatwave. We also need a resort with stuff for teens to do (17,16,14,12).

Can anyone tell me what Barcelona or Catalonia will be like around this time?

We went to costa brava this June (immediately after exams) it was 38-40 degrees every day. But then the week after they were expecting it to be a bit cooler but still quite warm. I dont think you can predict it.

hot. But not debilitating.

30-35
unless a heatwave then anything up to 40

We went the last 2 wks of June last year and had a heatwave in the second week,38 to 39 degrees some days, it was very uncomfortable but once you have air conditioning you can also take time out of the heat. Going to Italy this year and it will be the first 2 wks in July, the heat won't put me off going but slightly dreading another heatwave too!!!
