Aqualibi in Belgium?

Had anyone ever been?

Ds13 really wants to go. I don't know why, it doesn't look all that amazing on the website. But he's probably watched hours of YouTube so might well know better than me.

We went to Siam Park in Tenerife so he's got high standards for water parks. I can't think this place will be anything like that?

If you've been to both and would rate Siam Park 10/10, what would you rate Aqualibi? I'm guessing from the website it's about 4/10, along the lines of a fancy Center Parks type thing?

We don't live in Belgium so it would be a flight from the UK.

I haven’t been for over ten years so it may have changed, but used to live close and go every month or so.

its fine, I’d say a bit better than center parcs but not substantially, maybe a 5/10 vs the 4/10. Definitely not worth a whole trip for me! There’s not a lot else there either, cinema and a couple restaurants iirc, I think the model village close but never actually went.

also bear in mind it has the French swimming costume rules so no swim shorts for boys, has to be either speedos or skintight short things.

We live in belgium and dd has been a lot. Not sure it's worth a flight by itself, though there is also the Walibi theme park close by. There's also Plopsaqua and Plopsaland near the coast. There is a hotel there and self catering chalets. Could be combined with a seaside trip.

Thanks for your comments. I feel like it's not going to be nearly as great as he thinks. I've no idea why he is fixated on going. He says it was high up on a list of top 10 waterparks in the world but I'm not sure where he got that list from

We live nearby and go about once a year. It is nice, probably the nicest water park in Belgium. I also really appreciate the fact that it seems well managed: there are a lot of staff and they really pay attention to behaviour of the (many) teens present. But it is by no means worth 'a holiday' unless you combine it with a city trip to Brussels or Belgium (Bruges/Gent?). We usually spend 4-5 hours there and because it is often quite crowded, that is still insufficient to have used all the slides. Also, in winter times not all the (outside) slides will be in operation and we've also had times that there was some sort of technical failure and all slides were out of order for several hours. You could combine it with Walibi attraction park, which is also nice but like a typical rollercoaster park.
