I went in 2019, just me, no kids etc. Is it adults going or children too? My impression was it was great for adults and older children but younger ones not so much.
I did some organised group trip things that included mountain biking, swimming with dolphins (not as great as it sounds), whale watching and a visit to a hot spring.
It’s an absolutely beautiful place, stunning scenery you do ideally need a car though. I was there for a week which was about right.
If you like the outdoors it would be ideal, there’s not a huge amount to see and do in the towns tbh.
