Ikos Olivia - questions for those who have been…

Morning! Any help greatly appreciated. I’m thinking about booking Ikos Olivia with my 2 & 5 year old for early September this year.

Before I book, I just wanted to see, if anyone who has been there could please help me with a few queries:

Would you upgrade the room from the entry level?
What did the kids do during the day?
What are the main entertainment/activities for the kids?
Is there any entertainment in the evening for the little ones?
Is Dassia better for those ages or Olivia?
Would you say £7k is worth it for a week?

Thanks so much!

There are various Ikos Facebook groups with loads of info I'd recommend joining.

I have been to Ikos Andalusia so can only speak on that. We did upgrade to Deluxe, lovely rooms and access to a Deluxe only pool which we really liked.

During the day the kids just played in the pool mainly. They loved it, at Andalusia there was a kids pool and a shallower pool perfect for them.

There was a kids show every evening, you will be given a WhatsApp number to communicate with concierge when you arrive, details of kids shows are on that each day. Ours enjoyed them, basically a show on stage with singing and dancing etc.

There are kids clubs and babysitting but we didn't use as ours were too young.

We went to Olivia in 2021 with a 9 month old. We had the most basic room and it was fine - we did not spend a lot of time in our room. 9 month old spent most of the day by the pool, swimming, or sleeping in his pram. He loved the food.

We went to Aria last year with a 4 year old and 18 month old. We stayed two weeks and booked a basic room but they upgraded us to a suite for the second week which I must admit was lovely as it had almost direct access to the pool. It kind of encouraged us to spend more time in our room though! Again, children were mostly in the pool. We did use the kids’ club a couple of times and our 4 year old enjoyed it but he preferred being with us and in the pool.

I don’t remember there being child specific evening entertainment at either but they did have some live music/ parties for both parents and children in the evenings.
