Hi my daughter turns 21 in March and I’d like to take her away for a long weekend (or mid-week break) during her uni Easter holidays. Thinking Europe maybe Malaga or Budapest, but would love to hear ideas, hotel recommendations etc. Thanks in advance.

What are her interests?

Pixiesfan · 13/01/2026 06:39

Thanks for replying. We’d like to spend some time exploring and wandering around, maybe an activity, shopping/markets. Nice bars and restaurants. She’s not too bothered about museums. Forgot to mention we’ve been to Rome, Barcelona and Madrid. Thank you.

I’ll throw in Lisbon and Prague as suggestions!

Thank you, some great ideas. Forgot we’ve also been to Prague and had a great time there.

Malaga would be a good shout. If she likes shopping there's a huge outdoor mall that's a short train ride from the city.

City also nice to wander around for food and drinks. If you're there on the run up to Easter you could see the Semana Santa parades. You could also go on a tour to the el caminito del rey gorge walk.

Palma? Beautiful city with plenty to do.

We’ve just returned from a weekend in Paris for my DD’s 21st
We had an amazing time
We stayed at the Le Grey hotel which was in a really nice area
We went to all the usual sights and went to see the Moulin Rouge which was fabulous (my Dd’s at university doing a degree in dance) so was right up her street
Ate at some lovely places
Would definitely go back
