Never been to Greece
wanting to do a city break with 2 adults, 3 teens- 17,16,14

Up to a week, mid April

Was looking at brown acropolis but don’t know if better (more suited) places.

Your must see things in Athens!
or definitely avoid!!

We went for a week last Feb.

acropolis is a must. We also went to Vouliagmeni lake which is a short taxi ride (couple of buses) and is a thermal lake with restaurant and loungers. Water is warm even in winter.

we also did the day trip to Delphi. Not cheap but an amazing site. Long day.

Acropolis and it's museum, Delphi day trip. The city is worth a walk around due to all the graffiti it is quite cool. Good bars and food.

Brown acropol is a really nice hotel. We liked the hot tubs on the roof!
It's very close to the tube.

Stay in the Plaka area if you can.

Would you recommend a pre planned trip to Vouliagmeni lake and thermal spa or just jumping in a taxi?

id looked at Delphi for day too 👌🏼
Acropolis and museum were on list too. As well as a couple of rooftop bars!

any specific recommendations for food places to eat…?

We were there five days and didn't venture out of the city. So there was so much to see centrally.

we did the parthenon, the museum, we went to piraeus and walked by sea and had coffees and cocktails, we went to the Olympic stadium etc

Has anyone stayed at AP acropolis Brie apartment???

stumbled across these and the room set up is much better for us. Looks lovely, rates highly but wondered if anyone stayed there?

AP acropolis view not Brie!!!!!

We stayed at the Melia because of the pool and bar on the roof with views of acropolis.
We visited acropolis and museum, archeological museum, various ancient sites in the city etc
plaka is great for a wander
we did a food tour which was great, old pireaus harbour is cute, a bus out to sounion would be fab, as is Delphi and from idea is you can get a day ferry to islands such as hydra which is beautiful
there is a travelman episode which gives good ideas.

That wouldn’t be my ideal

Acron couldn’t provide what we needed size wise.
Which was not necessarily hot tub suite.

Choosen AP acropolis view on reviews and also has a pool sauna steam for teens if needed.
What was your reason for not choosing this area? Is there anything to point out about the particular area?

The Plaka area is just much more pleasant. Hard to describe fully but you’ll see when you’re there.

A painters house in plaka - executive apartment was great location

I agree and it’s so nice to wander around in the evening.

Are we close enough to plaka to still wander round there thou?
I would change accommodation if was necessary ie safety or bad reviews etc
