ive been tasked with sorting a holiday over Easter for our family. 6 adults, 4 kids. We need 6 bedrooms. We are taking my parents & they would like a location they can mooch round a little village without relying on us to take them. I’m not inspired by locations….ive looked at north wales, Shropshire, Peak District, Cotswolds but nothings hitting the mark. I feel like I’m missing location ideas so thought I’d ask here for inspiration. Ideally 2-3 hours from Manchester.

The obvious others in 2-3 hours are Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.

Airbnb will have something. I’d go maybe Malham or Settle or somewhere like that.

As well as those mentioned above, also try Teesdale and Weardale.

Stayed in a lovely place in Hexham, slept 10 but in 5 beds not 6 unfortunately. Location is edge of town so can walk in (20 mins or so) to everything. Was pre Covid but found it was still available a year ago, no agency

@hohahagogodo you have the details? Weve been chatting & we might be able to make 5 beds work if we can move the kids around. I think it’s the 6 bedrooms that’s causing us problems tbh
