Foresty retreat suggestions

I’m looking to take a short break with my daughter (20) next week as we both have a few days off from work and uni and would love to spend the time together.
She loves nature, forests, mountains and hiking, and really doesn’t mind the cold. A simple cabin in the woods, ideally with an outdoor hot tub, would be her dream. We’re open to anywhere in Europe (or the UK, just not Wales as she lives there).
We’ve got four days total and I’m trying to keep costs down, so we’re happy with something fairly rustic rather than posh. The key thing is that it needs to be easy to get to without a car. We’d be travelling from London and would love somewhere with a cheap flight and then a straightforward transfer by train, bus or taxi to a forest or mountain area.
I’ve been considering the Black Forest, but I’m not sure how quick or simple the transfer is. Does anyone have suggestions for places that work well without a car? We’re keen to keep travel time reasonable, unless the journey itself is scenic and part of the experience.
Thanks so much in advance!

Taxi from a nearby train station

Forest Holidays is the obvious one but by definition none of them are easily accessible without a car, though some locations may be a relatively short taxi ride from a train station.

I’d never heard of Forest holidays but omg the prices! Over £600 per night for 2 people self catering??

That was for over Christmas btw, other times of the year are not as bad .

Slovenia? Fly to Ljubljana, bus to Lake Bled or the Soča valley?

Oh thank you so much everyone - these are amazing and I'm going to keep those in mind for other times. I went with a cheap flights to Innsbruck (£50 each return) and then a stay in a log cabin near Seefield in the Tyrol mountain range/Karwendel Alpine Park (near Bavaria) - should be like Narnia at this time of the year! Thank you so much again!

@disappearingfish yes its nuts that this whole trip flights, transfers, accommodation will cost less than that one nights fee, or similarish at least! My whole trip is costing about £550 for the two of us for 4 days!

I would avoid the Blackwood Forest Holidays site in Hampshire. It would be tolerable for a family weekend with a toddler who barely walks but it's not outdoorsy. Went for a day out there and it was weirdly crap.

@BlessicaBlimpson definitely saving this one, looks fantastic! thank you!
