Cape Cod child friendly hotels?

For 5 nights end July for me, dh and dd (nearly 6 by then)

We would like somewhere with other kids for dd but don't need any childcare. Near a nice calm beach, with a pool.

Am looking at this one at the moment. I saw that amerryscot had been there - are you around?

Any other recommendations gratefully recieved. We don't want anywhere stuffy or posh just somewhere fun and relaxed

Ooh CD, (no help I'm afraid!) I would love to go to Cape Cod for our next hol... Have seen it from the air a couple of times en route to New York.

Will watch with interest. Hope you get somewhere nice

CountessDracula · 12/06/2008 13:35

Thanks!
We are going to DC to meet some friends and see some other friends
then driving over the mountains to W Virginia staying in some log cabiny place by a river en route with said friends and others

Then in WV for a wedding for 3 nights

So need somewhere to relax and repair our livers after all that

Sounds fantastic! Loving the sound of the log cabin by the river

Am very of you indeed

CountessDracula · 12/06/2008 14:57

really?
God I'm not
i think it is a vile time of year to have a weddign in WV, will be so hot and humid!

Hence legging it to Cape cod afterwards!

Ah yes forgot about the climate in that part of the world... you could always skinny dip in that river of yours!

one last bump...

we stayed here when DS was 5 years old we had one of the cottages with large hot tub in garden

It was a good central position on Cape cod

RTKangaMummy · 15/06/2008 20:12

it was 8 years ago though

CountessDracula · 16/06/2008 10:33

Thanks RTKM were there plenty of kids there?

This was before the school holidays {ie early July} but yes there were some in the pool

It wasn't full of children though so Ok if you want peace and quiet but want a few children

There was a beach nearby and a really quiet beach a short drive away.

But this was 8 years ago so may have changed

(another wee bump for CD!)
