Venice then the beach?

My daughter and I are going to Venice for her 21st birthday. I'm thinking it would be busy and touristy and it might be nice to have a few days in Italian beach resort afterwards. Has anyone done this and have any recommendations? Happy to get the train or an additional flight.

There is a beach in Venice, it's called Lido.

Wherever you go, don't stay at Spina!

Fair point, it's not exactly sparkling water.

We did Venice plus Lake Garda (we stayed in Bardolino) - worked really well and easy to get there on the train plus a cab. Not exactly beach but very pretty and relaxed and could swim in the lake, there are jetties or the odd small beach to swim off.

I’d be tempted to go from Venice to Lake Garda (hire a car) or take the ferry over to Pula (3.5 hours).

am doing a similar thing- but Naples 4 days/ ischia 4 days later this year with DS
