Hi , I’ve got a milestone birthday this and was wondering if anyone could recommend a nice location and 5 star b&b hotel in Madeira please ?
we would be going in June & would prefer to ne close to amenities.

We stayed at the cliff bay - it was amazing and a short walk into the centre of Funchal

The Porto bay santa maria

Seconded. Stayed there twice, excellent location in the town & adults only.

Reid’s Palace or The Savoy Palace.

We also stayed at the Porto Bay, lovely hotel.
There is a really nice cable car ride you can take in Funchal up to a pretty botanical garden. I would go back. We managed to book at a time when they were having a run of fireworks displays in the bay every weekend, and they were spectacular 🎇

We went last October and stayed at the five star Cliff Bay Hotel. It’s my second time there as I’d been with a friend the year before. It was absolutely wonderful. I don’t know your budget, but it’s worth paying for the superior upper floor Funchal Bay view rooms as you can have breakfast in the Gallo D’Oro Michelin star restaurant.
Madeira is beautiful, lots to do and some great restaurants.
