Mallorca or mainland spain - advice

Hi, looking to take my 2 teens and elderly mother to Spain for a 7-8 days this summer. My dm is elderly and we are hoping to find a very nice hotel half board not too horribly touristic. We don't normally ever do all inclusive or similar but due to mobility issues and to spare me from cooking etc we are thinking about a place with excellent swimming pools maybe tennis courts for the teens and good restaurants nearby and nice food - we'd probably rent a car

Would consider a similar type of experience in Greece also.

Mallorca or Menorca great. Love mainland Spain too but I would go for an island

Thank you @Bufftailed that is my preference too. I did visit Mallorca about 20 years ago and loved it and we were lucky to discover nice places of the beaten track.

If anyone has recommendations for hotels that offer half board have swimming pools and are not catering to the mass market of young 20 and 30 somethings who are looking to party, that would be amazing.

Puerta Pollensa

Try Duva Apartments in Puerto Pollensa. They have some sports facilities for the teens such as tennis courts and a gym, nice pool and not mega busy. Not sure of the board status as I was self catering. The Hoposa hotels in PP are also good value and are nearer to the beach than the Duva.

We stayed at Tui Sensatori in Sa Coma in June. It was really lovely. If your teens are 16 plus you can all stay in the adults area which is very good. Otherwise the family area is still nice. I have mobility issues so need flat ground and it was good in that regard, and there’s lifts for the higher rooms. Rooms are spacious, food is good, there are speciality restaurants included in the stay. The only thing that let it down a little for us (and this is just us, others absolutely love it) is that we weren’t too keen on Sa Coma itself (a bit commercial and busy for us) so got taxis to Porto Cristo etc which we preferred but the hotel was one of the nicest we’ve stayed at. Lots of activities etc too.

We had a v nice holiday of this kind in Corfu. Would recommend. The island is beautiful and eating out was surprisingly cheap. We stayed in Acharavi which has all the amenities you might need but isn't full of loud nightclubs etc.

Not sure about tennis courts but we had everything else you mentioned. Driving round the island to visit different beaches and towns was lovely.

Puerta pollensa is fantastic. Family quiet with enough going in. We went to Mar senses (it is pricy) one street beck from Main Street beach and lovely and quiet.

Mar senses PP is lovely but adults only
