I would like to visit the new museum in Cairo. Is it feasible to do Cairo in a weekend, and has anyone got any hints?

It’s feasible but to make it enjoyable I’d do a long weekend.

It's possible I suppose but there's so much to see in Cairo I'd push for a long weekend at least.

I've been twice, before the new museum opened. I'd say you need a whole day for the museum alone, & there's a lot to see apart from that.

Hi, I live in Cairo! I'd say the GEM is a full day - assuming you're going to want to visit the Giza pyramids too. What else would you like to do? I would definitely suggest a long weekend, or you'll be fairly frazzled...

thank you, I actually don't want to visit the pyramids, but just focus on Cairo itself. I'd be grateful for any suggestions...
