Looking for inspro ๐Ÿ™

itโ€™s trickier to find a great holiday when you have a bigger family (we are 6/4kids). children of a range of ages (4-14).

We love a resort, weโ€™ve done Dubai, all the Mark Warners, weโ€™ve done skiing, weโ€™ve done California.

so where do we go next? There must be a bit of luxury, a bit of activity and a bit of interest

A cruise? Lots to do for all ages. Ticks all of your boxes.

wobblychristmastree · 02/01/2026 20:31

Thanks @Jammin8i have looked at this but we prefer a suite or interconnecting rooms and they all seem to want you to book 2 separate cabins

Some cruise lines have them but they boom early often.

Sri Lanka is a lovely destination which lots to do for all ages

I'd say a cruise but you'd need to book now for summer 2027 to get interconnecting cabins probably, so not one for this year.
What about a 2 centre Thailand holiday - site-seeing and activity then beach resort. This is on my wish list for sure. Or Riviera Maya Mexico for resort/beach and sites. Years since I went but Xcaret eco theme park and Chichen Itza were incredible.

Thailand is incredible - so much to do and gorgeous beaches

wobblychristmastree · 04/01/2026 13:47

Thank you :)
thailand is definitely top of list now. Also considering Mauritius and the Caribbean

I absolutely love Mauritius - we are going again in a few months as a 4 this time.

There is so much to see, so many gorgeous beaches and viewpoints, itโ€™s a fab easy island to navigate if you hire a car and also very cheap to see things that way rather than via excursions. Theres also things for older kids to see and do, quad biking and zip lines etc. We totally loved going to the markets, trying local foods at the side of the road and being more involved than a typical beach holiday. Fantastic country and wonderful people.

Singapore and Malaysia, maybe Langkawi? So much to do in Singapore with kids.

Newsenmum · 05/01/2026 19:11

Safari? Need serious money though!
