I am someone who normally likes to book for the following summer as soon as I get home from the current one but this year 18yo ds is unsure of plans re work experience etc in the summer but keen to come with me if he can, so I'll be leaving it late. Places we are considering are Lisbon and Lyon, but this is not set in stone. We normally stay in cities in Airbnbs but that's not really a last minute option so I'm thinking resorts are more likely to be doable. It will be me and a 16yo and 18yo, both boys. We like culture, walks (not arduous outdoorsy stuff though), cafes, parks, shopping etc.
My questions are how likely are we to find something last minute (or booking from April/May onwards) that will have the living space we'd like - 2 bedrooms and preferably living area as well - and not be on a resort that's not near anything interesting? The other issue is I'm a teacher so there is only a 5 week window for us to go. Any tips would be great.
