Suggestions for family holiday 2026 - Spain? Balearics?

We are 2 adults, one 18yr old and one 22 year old. Adults love france and kids love Spain. We don't drive so aim for an interesting small town or city, close to the beach and with access to a pool if possible. In recent years we have loved Antibes, Palma, Montpellier and Lake Como. We are not very active, looking for peace rather than adventure - meals out and beach days, a few cultural visits, but we tend to stay local.

Any thoughts for our next trip? I am not very good in the heat, but can cope if we have pool access and we will likely be travelling late July, early August. I have made a pitch for late August/September and further north, but there is resistance. I think the ideal might be a better Mallorca holiday - so a couple of days in Palma and then moving to somewhere else with a beautiful beach, but open to alternatives - Valencia (how easy is beach access?), L'Escala (not much else but beach?).

All suggestions welcome!

How old are the kids?
or do you mean the ‘kids’ are 18 and 22?

I loved Menorca. Less built-up than Majorca but lovely beaches and walks. Cuidadella and Mahon are both interesting to visit.

Perhaps look at Porto Vecchio in Corsica. It’s got narrow cobbled streets, a lively marina with lots of cafes and restaurants, a nice choice of shops, and amazing beaches nearby with snorkelling snd water sports.

Ibiza. Es Cana, Port des Torrents or St Elulia.

Somewhere near or in Málaga?
It's a lovely coastal city like Palma with lots of resorts within easy reach.

We love Costa Brava. Small towns/villages like Begur, Tamariu, Calella, Pals. All quiet, pretty authentic Catalonia. Bigger and busier places like Playa d’Aro. Easy to get the train or bus to Barcelona.
