European Trip in February

Thinking of a 4 night trip to Europe looking at various places: Budapest, Tallin, Riga, Gdnask … all, I’m told, are reasonably priced to eat / drink. Any recommendations? Tips? Advice? Thanks

February is the coldest month in central and eastern Europe, and a whole different level of bitter cold from what’s normal for the UK. The Baltic states have Baltic winters. Is that something you’d look forward to and relish? Do you have thermals and thick, solid footwear? I live in central Europe and people here are a bit baffled at tourists coming in Feb. Plan lots of cosy cafe visits.

Good point. Maybe I should look for a European city slighter warmer or consider somewhere like Marrakech

As PP said, it’ll be cold and potentially not that pleasant. Head somewhere south, southern Spain perhaps,Madeira, Morocco or the Canary Islands maybe

We did Venice in February a couple of years ago. We had lovely weather. Still needed a jacket but not feeezing and didn’t need a big coat or gloves and hats etc.

I’ve been to Budapest in January, was lovely, the spa (outdoor) was great in the snow, have flip flops or crocs with you
