Eurocamp recs near a town?

Hi guys

I’m wondering if anyone could offer some recommendations for a eurocamp style holiday in France or Spain, within walking distance of a town or village? Someone has recommended Eurocamp Bella Italia or Delgarda in Italy which I definitely am considering, however we will be in Italy earlier in the year so I’d like to maybe choose a different country. Priority is somewhere walkable to a village/town with restaurants and near (enough) to an airport. Thank you very much for any help you can offer as this is my first Eurocamp/camping experience!

This thread is a little old now so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you've landed here looking for eurocamp holiday recommendations, we've recently updated our best eurocamp sites page with lots of great options, as tried and tested by Mumsnet users. We hope you find it useful. 💐

TerSpelgt in the Netherlands is walkable to the small town Eersel, and there’s a bus to Eindhoven, about 30 mins away.

Can’t comment on airports… we drove via the Hull-Rotterdam ferry.

Been a while since I went here, but we flew to Perpignan and got a taxi to one of the Eurocamp sites near Argeles-Sur-Mer. There was a tourist train that went from near the campsite past a supermarket and into town. From there you could get a bus or boat towards Collioure (and maybe beyond), I think there is a train station too. There are quite a few campsites in this area so worth a look maybe.
I think there are some campsites near both Beziers and Biarritz which you could get away with no car too.
Also look at Yelloh campsites and Sandaya.
I have no specific recommendations, but have spent ages looking for holidays like this to avoid hiring a car!
