Just this really! I have gotten timings wrong with weather etc in previous years (different countries visited though) and want to get it right this time. Is late May or mid/end July better? Can only do those two dates with school holidays!

Hiii, late may is already pretty hot and mid/end of july is REALLY hot, so depends what you're looking for hahah

We went in school holidays (August) and loved it. Didn't find it too hot, or too crowded.

Thank you both!! We'd like to soak up the sun but can't deal with 35 degrees if that makes sense heehe

Late May is lovely, bit less hot (but very sunny and warm) and less crowded. But IME the sea and pools are too cold for much swimming unless you can find a heated pool or a very shallow one that warms quickly in the sun. So if you want lots of swimming I’d pick July… but mid July has been peak heatwave time the past few years.

Go late May. It’s getting busier and busier every year and can get crowded these days at peak times on some beaches and in some buses.

We went in August this year; did Skiathos and Skopelos; had an amazing time and didn’t find it too hot; around 28 degrees, maybe 30 on the hotest days which is perfect for the beach. We rented a car to explore and booked airbnb wih air conditioner. There are green islands so perhaps not as hot as some other greek islands.
