Islands near Phuket which are easy to get to

We fly to Phuket in early March. I’ll be with my husband for three weeks and our backpacking daughter may well join us for part of the trip.
I have done some research but am lost as to which are the best islands to visit in the area. We will definitely go to Koh Yoi Noi at some stage as we will visit my cousin who lives there.
We are keen to get away from the hustle and bustle of Phuket and may only stay there one or two days after and before flights. We want to stay in places where there are at least a few restaurants nearby so that we’re not stuck with hotel restaurants. We are looking for nice boutique-style hotels without breaking the bank. We are planning on hiring mopeds.
I would love to hear your recommendations.

You can get to krabi and koh lanta from Phuket

Not an island but Khao Lak is amazing - it’s about an hour from PK on the mainland. My other advice is - do not hire scooters!

We split our time when we went to Phuket between Ko Yao Noi and Phuket itself. I wanted to go to Ko Phi Phi but husband said too much of a back packer scene, we had his parents and our pretty small kids with us at the time.

I’d love to hear of any hotels that You can recommend in Krabi, Koh Lak, Phuket or Koh Lanta?
