Alpine kinderhotels?

DH is 40 in August and we’re considering a big family holiday to celebrate. DD will be 7 and DS will be 4.

We’re quite into the idea of a summer alps hotel and the thought of one of the kinderhotels.

Hotel Lowe and Bar look good but £££, same with the Falkensteiner Lido.

Anyone been to either of these or anything similar? We want a nice hotel, nice food and lots to do…

Probably wouldn’t use a kids club to leave the kids in (I would but DD very much not a ‘joiner inner’) but would get involved in family activities at a kids club.

We did 2 summers at Familienresott Buchau and it was lovely - we did loads of crafts with DD hired bikes swam int he lake went to Perisau etc and had a lovely time

Ellmauhof in Hinterglemm always gets good reviews on Snowheads (for winter holidays) and Saalbach-Hinterglemm is fantastic in summer too. The Ellmauhof is attached to a working farm and riding school, so there are animals for the kids to interact with as well as the usual indoor and outdoor activities.

I would recommend this one as well.

We had an amazing time at Alpina Alpendorf!

We did Falkensteiner Montafon last year as part of a 2 week Austria trip. Was great, lots of nearby activities too. Saalbach also recommended.
Just avoid the adult only spa if you are like me and feel uncomfortable seeing your fellow hotel guests wandering around naked 🙄
