Child-Friendly Beach Hotel in Andalusia

I'm looking to book a holiday in Spain anywhere in Andalusia, preferably a hotel on the beach and a family resort. We need two interconnecting rooms. Lots of pools or allocated sunbeds would be a plus.

Iberostar Waves Malaga Playa

Is the beach nice in Malaga? Clean waters?

The city beaches that are actually in Malaga aren’t that nice, but the one at the Iberostar (not actually in Malaga) is as nice as you’ll find anywhere in Andalusia

We have never been to mainland Spain for a beach holiday. Are the beaches nice / clear waters and golden sand?
I wouldn't go there if not.

If you are expecting Caribbean fine golden sand and transparent turquoise sea, then no.

No, but we have been to cyprus and greece a lot and that's what we had there. That's what I look for.
