I have to go for a course of treatment for 4 weeks in Woodbridge, Suffolk mid-July. DH & DS (3) are coming but I'll be out of the picture weekdays. We don't know the area at all. What things are there for DH to do with DS? eg soft play areas, parks, nice beaches, farms, toddler groups.....? Also can you suggest any family friendly pubs & restaurants please.

TIA!

Not right on the doorstep, but if he's prepared to do a bit of driving theres lots to do in Norfolk too. If it's a nice day I very much recommend Bewilderwood for a fun and active day out. It would be about an hours drive I reckon. Lots to do, boat ride on the lake (watch out for the crocklebog as she tries to squirt you but is a friendly crocklebog really). There's treehouses to explore, muddy mazes, slides and swings etc suitable for all ages including grown ups! Lots to climb on up and through. My son is a little older, but younger ones in our group enjoyed the day out too. Has to be a nice day though or it'd be pretty miserable.

Hope your treatment goes well. Dh will cope and no doubt appreciate you a lot more after this!

Take care
Gilly

thanks you two! More excellent suggestions. Am going to print them all off just before we go.
