I want to show Perth off at its best, as i want to convince mil and dh that it would be a lovely place to live. But its been about 18 years since i've lived there. What do you suggest to do in 3 days? Also, we'll have 8 month ds with us.

I lived there for a year 9 years ago and then visited a lot from Kalgoorlie when I moved there.
It was pre-DD but from what I remember I'd spemd a day in Perth showing off the sights of the city including King's Park, a day over on Rottnest and a day in Fremantle.

Oh and on the city day, I'd go out to one of the beaches. Cottesloe was my favourite, oh and Subiaco markets. Can't remember what day they are though or daily maybe?

And come to think of it what about the Swan Valley wineries?
All my memories of Perth are flooding back now

Subiaco is lovely for lunch and I'd definitely go to Swan Valley wine tasting. Jane Brooke being my fav! Good lunch there too.

The city is ok for a bit of shopping. Don't bother with Hillary's as that's gone right downhill.

If you do Cottesloe then keep on the train and head to Fremantle.

In the 6 times I have been, I have still never been to Rottnest!
