It could be absolutely freezing.

My partner and I went a few years ago at that time and absolutely loved it! It wasn’t too cold when we went but the weather is always unpredictable then anyway. It’s such a fascinating city to visit I’d highly recommend you go.

The Christmas markets have finished and many places are fully shut for most of that time as you have a lot of bank holidays in additikn to Sunday. In the centre, it will be very full for the fireworks on New Years Eve around Brandenburger Tor but most restaurants will be shut. You'll either need to book a hotel with dinner provision or self catering or research what is open and book in advance. Shops in train stations are open on Sundays. It can be freezing cold.

We went at that time years ago and loved it. Although the markets had finished all the decorations were up and it had been snowing, so it was very festive. It was absolutely freezing though. We went on a guided walk and I was so cold at one point I cried! It was my fault for not dressing properly though and it didn't take away from how interesting the city was. So much to see and do. Plus if foods your thing good restaurants are much easier to book during this period as the city is quieter.

Not then but have been in winter and have enjoyed it.

We did it some years ago and it was wonderful. Some of the markets were still there and the weather was bright and crisp.

We went between Christmas and New Year 2010. It was -17 and snow up to our knees in places. A few markets were still open.

The snow added an extra layer of poignancy when we came out of the holocaust museum and is a feeling I will never forget.

We did it a few years ago. There were still some markets on. We really enjoyed it. I'd definitely go again at that time
