Alternatives to San Sebastián

I’m in South West France over the Christmas season and want to visit San Sebastián area in Northern Spain for a few days. I’ve been to San Sebastián and Biarritz in France a few times. Could anyone suggest places nearby to stay for a couple of days as an alternative to both. I know Bordeaux is a few hours away, but I’ve been there several times so discounting there. I would prefer coastal / beach areas.

We just visited Bilbao en route to San Sebastián. It was lovely. Good restaurants and the Guggenheim is well worth a visit.

Bilbao, Santander both great, Pamplona, Toulouse worth a trip but inland. Bayonne is good too.

Santillana del mar is pretty.

Getaria is a nice coastal town. It’s got the Balenciaga Museum and a lovely sandy beach.

Thanks for all of your suggestions (and I’d live to visit them all at some point) but I only have a couple of days there so looking for something roughly between Biarritz and San Sebastián or slightly further along from San Sebastián. We discounted Bilbao as it’s further along than we want to be for this short trip.
