New York with the kids?

Hi, I’m thinking about taking my kids, ages 10 and 13 to New York for February half term. Has anyone on here done New York with kids of similar ages? Would you do it again? Any tips? Thank you x

Yes we've gone the past 2 years with DD who is almost 14. There's plenty to do. Things we enjoyed include, a walk through central park, one vanderbilt/empire state building/top of the rock/other tall building, museums like the met and moma, 9/11 memorial and museum, eat at a traditional diner or jewish deli, boat tour to see the statue of liberty or even just walking around. There's so much we still haven't done and will defintely go back again next year.

We went with dc a couple of years younger and enjoyed:
Watching a Major League Baseball game
Cycling in Central Park (on our way to the Natural History Museum)
Staten Island ferry
Cycling over Brooklyn Bridge
Seeing Winnie the Pooh at the library
Walking the High Line
FAO Schwartz toy shop
Times Square (and M&M world!)

February is a bone chilling month in NYC.

We went in April and there was still snow on the ground. We had to buy extra layers while we were there!
i forgot to mention that we went to Intrepid which was my DS’s highlight.

Yes we did with DS who was 13 at the time. He did struggle with the walking but I have to admit I did try and do too much in our time there. He loved Intrepid and Madison Square Garden. He also liked the Crown and a pedi cab of Central Park as well at TOTR and The Edge.

We visited in February. It was warm. 17/18 degrees every day bar our last evening and the day we flew home. The temperature dropped to freezing and it was cold. Beautiful but cold.
