Ryanair, carseats, and extra baggage charges

If I just turn up for a ryanair flight with a carseat for DS, to be checked in as extra baggage, will they charge me do you think? Or just let it on?

I should have booked it when I booked the tickets, but forgot. Should I cal lthem and pay for extra baggage or risk it?

I have never pre booked a car seat and never been charged, last flew with them last year so might have changed.

thanks sophie. Do you just turn up with it then? Do you wrap it up at all?

Yes just turn up and no didn't wrap it but it goes through the outsize baggage bit.

ok that's fine, the rucksacks will be going through there anyway.

Thanks again, fingers crossed they accept it!
