Prairies de la Mer, Port Grimaud (South of France)

Trying to sort holiday for next August. We are 2x adults and 2 children (12 & 10). Looking to get the train to the South of France.

Has anybody stayed at Prairies de la Mer campsite near Port Grimaud? Can anybody recommend specific accommodation types? There are several different lodges you can book direct, or you can go with Eurocamp, but their vans seem expensive and we haven’t always had the best experience with them previously!

Alternatives would be booking direct for Cap Farret (but no water vans left 😢) or Serignan Plage. Any help/tips would be much appreciated! Thank you 🙏

FYI the nearest train stations are either Les Arcs or St Raphael. Both are a bit of a schlep, especially in August. The D559 will be nose to tail too, it is always heaving on that stretch from Ste Max through to St Trop in August.

We stayed in a Tikki hut at the sister site on Pampelonne Plage - it was very nice. As mentioned by PP - traffic along that part of the coast is murder in the summer. You mention Club Farret but in Vias there is also Sibu - La Carabasse. Big pool complex/waterslides etc. We've been there a couple of times, last time on the train to Adge - lots within walking distance, though it's slightly further away from the beach than CF.

We stayed at Yelloh La Brasilia and our neighbours had travelled down on train to Perpignan.
Not sure if you prefer a larger site but the snaller site near Club Farret, Domaine Cecile gets good reviews
