London hotel near Great Portland Street

Looking for a hotel near Great Portland Street for myself and my husband - not mega bucks ideally but it does not need to be family friendly and I was hoping for somewhere with a bar and not too conference centre a vibe! Any tips gratefully appreciated

We stayed at the Langham years ago. Was fab building opposite Broadcasting House but expensive.

Melia White House is on Albany Street, really close to Great Portland Street tube stop, nice rooms and a lovely bar.
