Great hotels in Corfu, Skiathos or Kefalonia

I'm looking at booking 10 nights early July post GCSE's - does anyone have any recommendations please of lovely hotels in any of these Greek islands?

Ideally close to a good beach, with a nice pool, and hotel needs to be modern but can be no frills. If within walking distance to nice village / town with tavernas etc then that would be great too.

We're previously stayed at the Puerto Azul in Puerto Pollensa which we all loved, to give an idea.

I see White Rocks in Kefalonia mentioned quite a bit, but not sure if that will meet all criteria?

Does it have to be a hotel rather than an apartment?

We stayed at Ionian Residence in Kef. Halfway between the airport and Argostoli. Walking distance to beautiful beaches and less busy than the main tourist sites. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants and shops. Basic pool and basic apartment but with beaches that beautiful and restaurants that amazing, you don't need anything more.

The White Rocks Hotel is indeed a lovely hotel in Kefalonia, but it is just slightly outside of Lassi on the main road and therefore to walk into the centre along the road can be quite scary. Also I’ve heard that in some of the rooms, the road noise can be heard. We’ve driven in but never stayed. You could have a look at the Mediterránee also in Lassi or The Nine Muses in Skala.
