Just a little tip if anyone uses Revolut but I’ve been using the app to book hotels lately and am finding the rates very, very competitive. You click on Revpoints, then “Stays” and search location and dates from there.
First used it last month to book a last minute hotel in Dublin for one night and saved €100 compared to booking directly or via booking.com (plus the hotel upgraded us to a suite which I think was because it was a last minute booking and they had no other rooms, but it was nice!).
If you have Revpoints accumulated, you can put those towards the cost, but even without those, it’s been coming up as consistently cheaper. I’ve just booked a hotel for next month and saved about €30/night (without redeeming points). Looking for a hotel in France in Jan and, again, Revolut is coming up cheapest compared to the exact same room on other sites.
On some rates, you have to prepay in full, but I’ve been selecting the “Pay at Property” and “Free Cancellation” filters.
When you book, you also get points- can mount up fast if you’re on a premium plan.
(and I didn’t plan on shilling a referral code but clicked into the Revolut app to look to make sure I was referencing the correct sections and see it’s given me a code- from what I can see it gives the referrer a bonus but doesn’t actually give the new joiner anything which seems a bit weird? Anyway, if anyone wants a code, DM me. I use Revolut for practically everything so I’m a big fan anyway).
