A week in Greece end of June with DS 21

Hi
looking at a week at end of June with DH and sons 21. Probably a villa would like to be walkable to sea, restaurants and bars. Fly from london it’s my first time in Greece any ideas ? 🙏

Biggest Greek island, loads to do.
Are comfortable driving abroad, if so, hire a car.

@Sundayagain27 Corfu has lots of options. Hire a car though. Not all beaches are sandy so check that out too. - if it matters. Dd stayed at St Stephano recently. Not a great beach but they had a pool at the villa. We went years ago - it’s quiet and beautiful. More lively on the north coast if you prefer that.

Crete is good for a first visit to Greece. It’s got a bit of everything. Stick to the Chania side if you’d like to do day trips to Elafonisi and Balos beaches, Samaria Gorge or Lake Kournas. If you’re more into the ancient history or caves, then go to the Heraklion side.

Skiathos! It’s perfect. The beaches are wonderful, the town is vibrant and it’s easy to get around the island by bus.

@queenofwandss where would you fly to for skiathos?

direct to Skiathos from a few UK airports, we flew from Manchester and I am sure you can go from Gatwick. I know EasyJet, Jet2 and TUI all do flights. Ryanair seem to fly there from other countries but not the UK.
